It wasn't like babysitting for him. For most kids his age, when they were asked to babysit, they groaned and moaned and tried to come up with excuses, but not Quil. Well, at least not when Claire was involved. When she was involved, it was all about spending time with her, being there to protect her when her parents couldn't, things like that. Any chance that he got to spend time with her, he would take. Claire was his responsibility, and he knew that, so it wasn't like he minded or anything.

When he'd gotten the call from Mr. and Mrs. Young, he'd gladly accepted. He didn't have to work (thank God, it was his day off), and he'd like nothing more than to spend an evening with Claire. He felt like he hadn't seen her much lately (though in all honesty, he saw her at least every couple of days), so this would be a good chance for him to get his Clairebear time. Time that he desperately needed.

He got all of his things ready, stuffed a few coloring books and games into his backpack and left his house. He made his way over to Claire's quickly and knocked on the door, waiting for them to answer. He knew that they would be leaving soon, so he hoped he'd made good time.

Rhoda was the only being, living, undead, whatever, that he could fully relax around. It was a shocking change from his former life, when laughter had been a constant in his life and in his work, but after his change, after his death all of that changed. Rhoda was the only one that saw that glimpse into what he had once been. At least, for the most part. He'd been known to relax around some of them, sometimes, but it was never nothing like it was when he was around Rhoda. Never. And he could never be nothing but genuine with her. Even if he would have had traitorous thoughts (though none had ever crossed his mind and never would) he would stay. For Rhoda.

"Well, we'll definitely have to get you a hat then, Rhoda. We can't have that head of yours unprotected," he said, his eyes scanning what they could, looking, searching. His eyes found the man near the same time she spoke and he nodded his head. "Oh yes, very good tastes. Though, I do believe he isn't suited for such a hat, myself." He smirked, moving away from her a little bit. "Oh, he will be. And it's been a good long while, I could do with a bit of a snack."

And with that, he was away from her side and going towards the man. It was over in an instant and the man fell. He looked over to Rhoda and said in a voice he knew that only she could hear. "Want a nibble?" He swept the hat from his head, grinning.

She ran. And she ran. Making up for lost time, Maggie wanted to rush and get to the Cullens' home. It was her fault that they hadn't arrived already, really. She'd kept stopping, looking around, and exploring. It was hard for her to focus on just getting to their home when there were so many things that she'd never experienced before, having never left Ireland. She wanted to enjoy their trip, even if their reasons weren't exactly pleasant. She knew that this could turn ugly, and that part she wasn't looking forward to, but meeting with Carlisle and his family? That part she was.

She paused and turned around. She'd taken the lead a litte while back, and she wanted to wait for the rest of her coven. Siobhan and Liam meant the world to her, and she knew that she would have been lost long ago without them. She smiled when they pulled even with her. "We can't be too far away now, can we?" she asked, curiously. She wasn't the best with finding things (and often got her ownself lost), so she was relying on the other two to guide her. Which wasn't unusual, considering they usually were the ones to guide her, to show her the way.

She knew that it was probably clear to THEM how nervous she was, considering they knew her best, but she tried to hide it. She'd never really grown up, and she still got scared sometimes. She just hoped nothing bad would come of this.

Felix had waited. He had waited for Demetri to come to him, to knock on his newly fixed chamber door. But no knock had ever came. No sound had reached his chambers. He'd spent most of the day there, alone, still sad, still feeling very much alone. The only thing keeping him from regretting his decision was what he had learned from Cauis. Aro had committed a deep treason, one that could not be forgiven. And he had hidden it for far too long. The way that Master Marcus had found out....it had been disgusting.

Finally, tired of sitting and waiting, he left his chamber. He knew there was a possibility that it could be for the last time, but he could no longer stand to look at what had once been his private domain. The splintered bookcase and the remains of the door were enough to make his stomach churn in guilt and horror at what was about to happen. He grabbed a book, planning on using it as an excuse to not talk to anyone, and left, making his way towards the athenaeum. He knew that if Demetri were to come looking, he would most likely come there.

He sat, down, browsing through the book he'd grabbed. However, he couldn't force himself to read it, to browse it's now yellow pages. A tale of death, betrayal, and destruction was all too fitting for the moment. It brought things too close for his liking, and he could not read it. He sat the book down on a near-by table and began pursing the other books.

He heard him before he saw him, of course. His head bowed and he couldn't bring himself to look at the person he'd considered his closest confident for so many centuries. "Yes," he said, his hand sliding over the books lightly as he took a chance glance over at Demetri, "the completion of a story, a good story, is not something one wishes to look forward to."

I do so hope!

Oh dear, that doesn't sound good at all. It's a sticky situation all the way around, I believe. But, yes, it is probably best to talk to her about it, at least that way she'll have a chance to let her feelings out. And you're absolutely right, Emmett would follow her. I couldn't imagine the devastating effects that would have on your family...and ours as well.
