If Jacob wished things had been different, Cedric longed for them to be. He wished he'd never touched that stupid cup. He knew Harry, he would have been fine and would have come out of that graveyard the same as he did with his body had he been without it. He wished that whatever had happened to Krum and Fluer would never have happened so they could have beaten them to it. Maybe if Harry hadn't touched it, nothing would have happened. Most of all, he simply wished he hadn't died, hadn't had to leave his friends and family so soon. He'd give anything to be able to go back in time and rework things so he'd never went into that bloody maze. But the fact remained that he couldn't think like that. He couldn't afford to waste any of the time he'd been given thinking on the past. If he did, he'd fall victim to it and it would consume him. And he wasn't going to let that happen. To Cedric, this was the only second chance he would get. No matter how brief, how quickly it would pass, he had to make the most of it. He had to. Not only for his sake, but for his friends' sake as well. He wished that Jacob would let him in. He knew it had to be hard on him, but he could be selfish at times. He wanted Jacob to move past his pain and hesitation and to be his best friend again. His face grew somber at Jacob's words and he shook his head slowly. "You're right," he said quietly, pushing the bottle around in between his hands slowly, "I'm sorry." Not knowing what to say after that, he sat quietly, looking up at Jacob from time to time. Damn it, why was this so hard?

Miles had never really been big on his own birthday. It just never really seemed like that big of a deal to him, but he was feeling a little bit differently about this birthday. This time he was looking forward to it. For the first time in a few years, he was looking forward to his birthday. And it was all thanks to Quidditch Village, really. He was with Allison, something he'd never imagined he would be able to say. But yet, he was, and he couldn't be happier. It was brilliant. He'd even managed to go about his day semi-happily. Of course, a few things had pissed him off, but not nearly as much as usual did. Of course, the surprise party hadn't really been his thing and he'd felt a little awkward during it, but that was okay. It had been fun, mainly because Allison had been by his side the entire time. That had just made everything all the more bearable, really. Allison made everything better. She was amazing like that. After the party, he'd hated letting her leave, but she'd assured him that she'd be right back, so he'd let her go without a fight. And so he waited. He waited for her to get back so that he could spend time with her. And she had promised to give him a very special birthday, so that was only spurring him on more. When he heard the knock he practically jumped up and ran towards the door to answer it. He pulled it back, smiling as Allison was revealed.

Though she isn't proud of it, Angelina can come off as quite temperamental. She's prone to slight mood swings sometimes, and can go from happy to sad to mad with little to no hesitation. She tries her best to keep her mood in check, but it doesn't always work, and she often slips. Angie has a knack for being able to listen to someone and to sympathize with them. She's always there for her friends when they need a shoulder to cry on, when they need someone to talk to, or when they just need someone to vent at. She'll do what she can to help her friends and family, as they mean the world to her, and she wants them to be happy more than anything else. If they need to owl her in the middle of the night because they are upset, she'll understand. If they need to rant about work, she'll listen. She expects the same in return, though. She wants to be able to rant, she wants that shoulder to cry on, and with her friends, she gets it. Once Angelina puts her mind to something, by hell, she'll DO it. She always gives her best, and even tries to do better than her BEST. She's constantly challenging herself, pushing herself to the limit, working hard at what she wants to accomplish and what she wants to do. She has a 'never say die' attitude and it shows. She refuses to let anything best her, and she'll not back down from anything she is presented with. Giving one hundred percent doesn't even really cover it. She's very driven and she'll do what she has to to accomplish her goals. Well, as long as it's moral. She won't do anything she considers wrong, as she also has a very strong moral code. She's very ethical, always wanting to be fair and kind if at all possible. Despite her mood swings, Angie, for the most part, is pretty laid back. She tries to not let things get to her, and she'd rather be relaxed than all riled up. She's a 'go with the flow' type of girl with most things, but she definitely isn't afraid to let her opinions be known and is often loud and open. Doesn't mean she likes confrontation, though.
